Preschool
Welcome to SEAS All Day Pre-K!!
Hello and welcome to our Preschool page! I am so excited to enter my 4th year of teaching and my second here at SEAS and am thrilled to be a part of your child's journey this year! Please reference this page often, as I update it monthly with a brief outline of what we will be learning this month, as well as other important dates/information. Our teacher aide is Chrysa Kratz.
Please make sure to send any school supplies/student information sheets with your student on their first day if you haven't already! The folder that you brought will be their take home folder. We will use these as a form of daily communication starting in September. More information will come closer to when that starts. Seesaw codes will be sent home on the first day of school if you have not already finished signing up for that. We use the Seesaw app to share pictures of all the fun activities we are doing throughout the day, so you will want to make sure you download the app!
Please note: The primary way I will be communicating important information is through email and here on our class page. Please make sure to check both regularly (at least once or twice a month) to stay up-to-date!
Drop Off Information
If you haven't already, please review the email Mrs. Cantrell sent regarding the Preschool/Prek drop off routine-especially if you haven't had a morning preschool student in the last year. Students will be dropped off at theChurch Bell Tower! If you are walking them in, please park in the church parking lot. After Labor Day, if you still feel the need to walk them in, you will need to sign in at the office and get a visitor pass.
Students who arrive before 7:40 a.m. will be escorted by one of the aides or student ambassadors to the library to wait with their peers. Our classroom will be locked until 7:40 a.m. and then I will greet them at the door. If they arrive after 7:40 they will wait with the aide at the drop-off location until 7:50 a.m., then will be escorted to the classroom. Anyone who arrives after 7:50 a.m. will need to park, walk them in, and check in through the office.
Other Important Information:
The 1st days of school will be August 17th and 18th. We stagger start the kids so please reach out to either me or Mrs. Cantrell to find out what 1st day your child will be attending or if you have any other questions. We do allow parents to walk their students in on the first day, but after that we prefer parents drop off at the door with the aide.
-
Starting the first week, I will be sending your child's "to and from home" folder that they will keep in their backpack to bring to school everyday.
-
Please keep a change of clothes in a gallon baggie in your child's backpack. We cannot assist with bathroom hygiene. Please practice at home. In an emergency, parents may be called to assist.
